The product shown is Jiolizer Syrup, 200 mL, a sugar-free urinary alkaliser containing:
Potassium citrate
Magnesium citrate
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine)
The front label clearly confirms these three active ingredients. I could not find a reliable online source giving the exact quantities for this specific Jiolizer formulation, and the side-panel text in the photograph is too small to read accurately.
This is the principal urinary alkalising component.
It is converted to bicarbonate, increasing urinary pH and urinary citrate.
It is commonly used in conditions such as:
uric-acid kidney stones
low urinary citrate (hypocitraturia)
prevention of certain recurrent kidney stones
Urinary citrate is important because it can bind calcium and reduce formation of some calcium-containing stones.
Important: potassium citrate is not appropriate for every type of kidney stone, and excessive alkalinisation can promote certain other types of stones.
Provides magnesium and citrate.
Magnesium can bind oxalate in the gastrointestinal tract, potentially reducing oxalate absorption. The citrate component also contributes to the urinary citrate pool.
The exact amount of elemental magnesium cannot be calculated without knowing the labelled quantity and the particular magnesium citrate salt/form used.
Vitamin B6 = pyridoxine.
B6 participates in amino-acid metabolism. Adequate B6 status can influence oxalate metabolism, which is why B6 is sometimes incorporated into formulations intended for people prone to calcium-oxalate stones.
It is not itself a urinary alkaliser.
Potassium citrate → raises urinary citrate/pH
Magnesium citrate → supplies magnesium + citrate
Vitamin B6 → supports normal oxalate metabolism
So Jiolizer is primarily a urinary stone-prevention/support formulation, rather than a painkiller or antibiotic.
The exact mg or mEq per 5/10 mL cannot be established from this photograph. I would not substitute the strengths of another potassium-citrate/magnesium-citrate/B6 syrup because formulations vary considerably.
Also, because potassium citrate supplies potassium, people with significant kidney impairment, high blood potassium, or certain heart/kidney medicines should use it only under medical supervision.
If you upload a close-up of the side panel containing “Each 5 mL/10 mL contains…”, I can give you the exact quantity of potassium citrate, magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 per dose and calculate the total amount in the 200-mL bottle.
