ACECLOTT-TH tablets
Thiocolchicoside — a muscle relaxant
Aceclofenac — an NSAID painkiller/anti-inflammatory
Brand: ACECLOTT-TH
Pack: 10 × 10 tablets
Manufacturer: Accott Healthcare
Rx: Prescription medicine
The exact strength of each ingredient is not clearly readable in this photograph, so I would not assume the dose.
This combination is primarily aimed at pain associated with muscle spasm, particularly musculoskeletal conditions such as:
Acute back pain with muscle spasm
Neck pain/stiffness
Muscle-related shoulder pain
Sprains or strains
Other painful conditions involving muscle spasm and inflammation
Aceclofenac reduces pain and inflammation, while thiocolchicoside helps relax painful, tight muscles.
Aceclofenac
NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
Reduces inflammatory chemicals involved in pain and swelling.
Can cause acidity, indigestion, stomach irritation and, less commonly, ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
It should generally be taken with/after food if prescribed.
Thiocolchicoside
Acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant.
Helps reduce painful muscle stiffness/spasm.
Can cause drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea or stomach upset in some people.
Avoid driving or operating machinery if it makes you sleepy or dizzy.
You previously showed ACECLOTT-P, which contains:
Aceclofenac + Paracetamol
This new medicine contains:
Aceclofenac + Thiocolchicoside
Therefore, both ACECLOTT-P and ACECLOTT-TH contain aceclofenac.
Taking them together without specific medical instructions could result in duplicating the NSAID dose, increasing the risk of stomach bleeding, kidney problems and other NSAID-related adverse effects.
Also, if A-COLD is being taken, remember that A-COLD contains paracetamol, while ACECLOTT-P also contains paracetamol. That creates another potential duplicate ingredient.
The two azithromycin products are the same antibiotic at different strengths, and the two ACECLOTT products share aceclofenac. Don't combine or substitute these medicines based only on the names on the boxes.
If these are all from one prescription, send me a clear photo of the prescription sheet. I can map each medicine to the doctor's instructions and explain which ones are alternatives versus medicines intended to be taken together, without guessing.
