The package specifically states “Nitrofurantoin Sustained Release Tablets” and 100 mg, so the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is nitrofurantoin 100 mg.
This is not simply a 100-mg immediate-release tablet. The tablet is formulated so that nitrofurantoin is released gradually after administration, rather than all of the drug being released at once.
Nitrofurantoin is an antibacterial medicine used primarily for susceptible urinary-tract infections (UTIs). It works by damaging bacterial cellular components after the drug is concentrated in the urine.
The photograph does not provide a sufficiently readable list of the inactive ingredients. Therefore, I would not want to invent the exact excipients (such as binders, fillers, lubricants, coating agents, etc.). The exact formulation should be taken from the package insert/manufacturer's product information.
Also, the claims printed on the advertisement such as “supports kidney health” should not be interpreted as meaning that nitrofurantoin treats kidney infections. Nitrofurantoin is generally used for lower urinary-tract infections, and it is not appropriate treatment for suspected pyelonephritis/kidney infection.
If you upload a clear photo of the back of the box or the package insert, I can give you the complete composition, including every excipient and its quantity, line by line.
