Ezotime-DSR is a combination medicine generally prescribed for acid reflux and related gastrointestinal symptoms, particularly when nausea or delayed stomach emptying is also present.
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach, helping relieve heartburn and allowing inflammation in the food pipe to heal. Its enteric coating protects it from stomach acid until it reaches the intestine.
Domperidone is a prokinetic and anti-nausea medicine. It helps move food through the stomach and can reduce nausea and vomiting. Its sustained-release formulation is designed to release the medicine gradually.
Doctors may prescribe this combination for:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn and acid regurgitation.
Reflux accompanied by nausea or vomiting.
Selected cases involving delayed stomach emptying.
It is not appropriate for every case of acidity or indigestion. In particular, domperidone has important heart-related safety restrictions.
The exact milligram strengths are not visible on the front of your boxes, so the dose cannot be confirmed from this photograph.
These combination capsules are commonly prescribed before meals. Follow the timing and duration on your prescription, swallow the capsule whole with water, and do not crush or chew it.
Do not assume the medicine is suitable for long-term daily use. European regulators recommend that domperidone generally be limited to one week for nausea and vomiting, at the lowest effective dose.

Important heart-related warning
Domperidone can cause potentially dangerous heart rhythm abnormalities. The risk is higher in people over 60, those with existing heart disease, and people taking certain interacting medications. Seek urgent medical care if you develop palpitations accompanied by dizziness or fainting.
European Medicines Agency (EMA)
Consult your doctor before taking Ezotime-DSR if you have heart rhythm problems, significant liver disease, low potassium or magnesium, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Some antibiotics, antifungal medicines and other drugs that affect heart rhythm can interact dangerously with domperidone.
Seek medical assessment for difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood, black stools or unexplained weight loss rather than repeatedly treating these symptoms with acid-suppressing medicines.
