Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It kills susceptible bacteria by interfering with construction of their cell wall.
Sulbactam is a β-lactamase inhibitor. Some bacteria produce β-lactamase enzymes that can break down certain antibiotics; sulbactam inhibits many of these enzymes and can therefore extend ceftriaxone's activity against susceptible organisms.
So this is not a painkiller, steroid, or routine vitamin injection—it is an injectable antibacterial medicine.
The 375 mg on the front indicates the product's total labeled strength, but the photograph does not clearly show the exact ceftriaxone:sulbactam amount. The precise composition should be taken from the vial label/package insert rather than assuming that 375 mg means 375 mg of ceftriaxone alone.
Ceftriaxone/sulbactam injections may be prescribed for suspected or confirmed bacterial infections, depending on the organism and site of infection—for example, certain respiratory, urinary, abdominal, skin/soft-tissue, bloodstream, or other bacterial infections.
It does not treat viral infections such as ordinary viral colds or influenza.
Because this is an injectable prescription antibiotic:
One limitation of this photo: the small vial and ampoule labels are too blurry to reliably read their complete composition, batch number, expiry date, or manufacturer. If you upload a close, sharp photo of the vial label and the ampoule, I can explain every readable field and tell you exactly what the 375 mg composition and diluent are.
