CALCIOM-D3 SYRUP
This is CALCIOM-D3 Suspension, a calcium + magnesium + zinc + vitamin D₃ supplement in a 200 mL bottle. The front label specifically identifies it as “Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin D₃ Suspension.”
I can identify the product and its purpose from the photograph, but the exact amounts of calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D₃ are not readable enough on this image to safely give you precise numbers. I also found a current listing showing that Accott Healthcare manufactures/markets a product called Calciom-D3, but the available listing does not provide the full composition. (Tradeindia)
Calcium is the main mineral needed for:
Bones and teeth
Maintaining bone mineral density
Normal muscle contraction
Nerve transmission
Normal blood clotting
Several cellular processes
Adequate calcium is particularly important during childhood/adolescence, pregnancy, older age, and periods of inadequate dietary calcium.
Vitamin D₃ helps the intestine absorb calcium and phosphorus.
It therefore works together with calcium to support:
Bone mineralization
Normal muscle function
Calcium/phosphate balance
Prevention and treatment of vitamin-D deficiency
Without adequate vitamin D, simply taking calcium may not correct a deficiency effectively.
Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions, including:
Muscle and nerve function
Energy production
Protein synthesis
Normal electrolyte balance
Bone metabolism
Magnesium also interacts with calcium in normal muscle and nerve function.
Zinc is a trace mineral involved in:
Immune function
Wound healing
DNA and protein synthesis
Normal growth and development
Taste and smell
Cell division
The formulation is essentially designed as a bone and mineral nutritional supplement:
Vitamin D₃ → improves calcium absorption → calcium supports bones/teeth
while magnesium and zinc provide additional minerals needed for normal physiological and skeletal functions.
So this product is fundamentally different from the two syrups you showed earlier:
Because Colex-C, Colex-L and Calciom-D3 contain different nutrients, taking all three together isn't automatically necessary. In particular, the appropriate calcium and vitamin-D intake depends on age, diet, existing supplements, kidney function, and whether a deficiency has actually been diagnosed.
Excess calcium or vitamin D can cause problems, and calcium can also interfere with absorption of certain medicines.
I wouldn't use the dosage from another calcium syrup as a substitute for this one. The exact concentration on your Calciom-D3 bottle needs to be read from its composition panel.
If you upload a straight, close-up photograph of the back/side of the Calciom-D3 box where it says “Each 5 mL/10 mL contains…”, I can give you the exact:
calcium amount
magnesium amount
zinc amount
vitamin D₃ IU/µg
amount per 5 mL
amount per 10 mL
labelled adult/child dose
total nutrients received at that dose
and a side-by-side comparison with your Colex-C and Colex-L.
