The product shown is RANICOT, Ranitidine Oral Solution IP, 100 mL. The available product/price listing confirms RANICOT as ranitidine oral solution, but the strength is not readable in your photograph, so I would not guess the mg/5 mL. (Scribd)
Ranitidine is an H₂-receptor antagonist (H2 blocker). It works by blocking histamine H₂ receptors on gastric parietal cells, thereby reducing gastric acid production. It was used for conditions such as acid reflux/GERD and peptic ulcers. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
Important: the exact concentration of this RANICOT bottle cannot be established from the image. Do not assume that it is the commonly encountered 15 mg/mL (75 mg/5 mL) formulation.
Ranitidine has a significant NDMA impurity issue. The U.S. FDA requested withdrawal of all ranitidine products from the U.S. market in 2020 after finding that NDMA levels can increase with time and temperature. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
For India specifically, this issue is still under regulatory consideration: a CDSCO communication dated 24 July 2025 says manufacturers should monitor NDMA levels in ranitidine API/formulations and take risk-based measures such as reducing shelf life. (CDSCO)
So, if this is an old bottle or stock you already have, I would not recommend using it simply because the label is intact. Check the manufacturing/expiry date and ask a pharmacist or doctor whether an alternative acid-suppressing medicine is appropriate.
RANICOT = ranitidine oral solution, 100 mL.
The complete excipient list and exact ranitidine concentration are too small/blurred to read reliably. If you upload a close-up of the side panel showing “Each 5 mL/10 mL contains…”, I can identify the exact strength and all listed excipients.
