What each ingredient does

This combination is commonly used for heartburn, acid reflux, acid regurgitation and indigestion. The alginate works mainly as a physical barrier, while the bicarbonate/calcium carbonate neutralize acid. Medicines.org.uk

How it works

After you swallow it, the alginate reacts in the stomach and forms a gel-like “raft” that floats on top of the stomach contents. This can reduce the amount of acidic stomach contents reaching the esophagus. The antacid components simultaneously neutralize acid. Medicines.org.uk

So, unlike a proton-pump inhibitor such as pantoprazole, this type of medicine is primarily intended for symptomatic relief rather than suppressing acid production.

When it is commonly taken

For comparable sodium-alginate/sodium-bicarbonate/calcium-carbonate suspensions, adult dosing is commonly 10–20 mL after meals and at bedtime, with a maximum of 80 mL/day for formulations with that strength. Important precautions

Because this contains sodium, people who need a restricted-salt diet—particularly some people with heart or kidney problems—should check with a doctor/pharmacist before regular use. Medicines.org.uk

ACRAFT vs the Iverman-A you showed earlier

These two medicines have completely different purposes:

• Iverman-A (albendazole 400 mg + ivermectin 6 mg) → antiparasitic/deworming medicine.
• ACRAFT suspension (alginate + bicarbonate + calcium carbonate) → heartburn/acid-reflux/indigestion medicine.

They aren't substitutes for one another.
