1. Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride — 25 mg

Hydroxyzine is a first-generation H1 antihistamine with additional effects on the central nervous system.

It can be used for:

• Itching/pruritus associated with allergic skin conditions

• Urticaria (hives)

• Anxiety/tension, when prescribed for this purpose

• Short-term sedation, including as a premedication in some situations (MHRA Products)

It works primarily by blocking histamine H1 receptors. Because it enters the brain, it can also produce drowsiness and sedation.
